| 内容記述 | This essay is intended to bring light on what the opening paragraph of Tsurezuregusa means, and to give an account of the reason why Kenko, the author of the classic, came to the decisions to enter the priesthood and to sequester himself from the world. In bringing to light what the opening paragraph of it means, the present writer emphasizes the necessity of considering the paragraph from the historical context and in the whole of Tsurezuregusa, and reading connotations between the lines, mentioning a few opinions by some Japanese scholors of what the paragraph means. In giving an account of the reason why Kenko came to the decisions to enter the priesthood and to live the life of a recluse, the inevitability or necessity for him to have done so is explained, with emphasis on his personality and his view of life shown in Tsurezuregusa, mentioning the latest opinions of his personal history by some scholors. | |||||||||||
