The study is based on the latest CCIR databank of rain attenuation. First, an empirical formula is derived to calculate an effective slantpath length (defined as attenuation devided by the specific attenuation at the point rain rate) using the point rain rate and the elevation angle. Second, an averaged cumulative distribution over entire sites for normalized attenuation (1.0 at 0.01%) is given in a form of log-normal, Moupfouma and log-polynomial of second order distribution.
