This paper relates to the preparation and properties of iron oxides by the electrolysis using isobuthyl alcohol. Results obtained were as follows. (I) The product at high current density was superior to that at low current density in puality and in quantity. (II) The product which was treated at 400℃ in nitrogen stream and at 300℃ in air is revealed to be spinel structure by X-ray diffraction pattern.
