The digital communication through such a fading chnnel will need the improvement by diversity techniques with stronger necessity. We analytically evaluate the improvment of the detection error rates of multiphase coherent PSK signal by the predetection dual diversity systems employing three typical combining methods in one-sided Gaussian fading channel. The error rates are obtained for various parameters ; the carrier-to-noise power ratio per one channel, the number of digital phases, and the power correlation coefficient beteen two diversity inputs.
