The second equation represents the quantity of the energy obtained from the windmill. These two equations contain what is obtained from the fundamental equations of fluid dynamics. The most value of the energy obtained from a windmill, which is provided either with plate blades or with blades so twisted as to take out the most energy, is independent of the blade number. When we build a large-sized windmill with plate blades, there is a limit to the length of blades. Therefore, the blade so twisted as to take out the most energy is more suitable for the large-sized windmill than plate blades are.
